How Long, O Lord?

I’ve been wanting to write this devotion for a LONG time. One of my favorite petitions is, “How long, O Lord, how long?” I’ve been so slow to put pen to paper and fingers to the keypad that I felt the Lord asking me, “How long until you write this?!”

December was a sad and busy month for us. My father-in-law passed away. He was an old Methodist farmer. A few days before he died, while lying in his nursing home bed, he said to my husband that he needed help getting through a few gates.  Kent told him to go through the Jesus Gate. And a few days later he died (and he did!). My husband’s cousin officiated the memorial service and gave a beautiful message on gates. He talked about how Grandpa first went through the gate of death and then went through heaven’s gate. Everyone who believes in Jesus can go through His gate. How we long for that day!

I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. John 10:9 (NKJV)

Advent (the weeks leading up to Christmas) would have been a good time to share a “How long?” devotion. As we think of the children of Israel awaiting the first coming of their Messiah before He came as a baby. Four hundred years there was silence, with only the Law and the Prophets testifying of His coming. And so they waited, and asked, “How long?”

The people who walked in darkness
Have seen a great light;
Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death,
Upon them a light has shined. Isaiah 9:2 (NKJV)

Today believers also ask, “How long until you come again, O Lord?” As we look at the evil in this world, we cry out to Jesus to come and make things right. Someday He will come to claim His own and we shall all praise Him! Yet even now we praise Him as we wait.

Psalm 39:7 And now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You…  Lord Jesus, I long for You! I wait for You! My hope is in You! How long, O Lord, how long until You come on the clouds in glory and every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father? HalleluYAH! I love You! Come in glory, Lord Jesus, my Hope, and the Hope of all humankind!  Amen.

What else am I praying for? I’m crying “How long” for healing and a home. It’s been three long years since we lost our home and most of our belongings to mold. The mold is still in my body, causing much pain, and we are still looking for a healthy place to call home. We know God has a plan and we trust Him and thank Him for providing temporary places, yet still we ask, “How long?” I also cry “How long” until He saves loved ones and sends a Living-Water-River-of-Life-Holy-Spirit-Pour-Down-Revival across this land!

Last year I was asking the Lord, “How long until my third book is published?  I am so grateful how He helped me overcome obstacles, for the gracious friends who helped, for the prayer warriors who prayed, and for Jesus’ strength. And I praise the Lord that it is finished! I hope you will read More TEA CUPP Prayers and be blessed!

Did you know God also asks, “How long?” He wonders how long until people turn to Him:

Then the Lord said to Moses: “How long will these people reject Me? And how long will they not believe Me, with all the signs which I have performed among them?  Numbers 14:11 (NKJV)

How long, O you sons of men,
Will you turn my glory to shame?
How long will you love worthlessness
And seek falsehood?
 Selah Psalm 4:2

Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.” Matthew 17:17 (NKJV)

 (See also Exodus 10:3, 10:7; Numbers 14:27; Joshua 18:3; 1 Kings 18:21; Jeremiah 31:22, Mark 9:19)

Here are some of my favorite How long prayers:

My soul also is greatly troubled;
But You, O Lord—how long Psalm 6:3 (NKJV)

How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever?
How long will You hide Your face from me?
How long shall I take counsel in my soul,
Having sorrow in my heart daily?
How long will my enemy be exalted over me? Psalm 13:1–2 (NKJV)

Lord, how long will You look on?
Rescue me from their destructions,
My precious life from the lions.
 Psalm 35:17 (NKJV)

O God, how long will the adversary reproach?
Will the enemy blaspheme Your name forever?
 Psalm 74:10 (NKJV)

How long, Lord?
Will You hide Yourself forever?
Will Your wrath burn like fire?
Psalm 89:46 (NKJV)

Return, O Lord!
How long?
And have compassion on Your servants.
Psalm 90:13 (NKJV)

Lord, how long will the wicked,
How long will the wicked triumph?
 Psalm 94:3 (NKJV)

(See and pray also: Job 7:19, 19:2; Psalm 40:1, 40:13, 40:17, 62:3, 79:5, 80:4, 82:2; Isaiah 6:11; Jeremiah 12:4; Zechariah 1:12; Habakkuk 1:2)

Today’s TEA CUPP:  Pray the Lord’s Prayer: “The Kingdom come, Thy will be done.” Read  2Peter 3.  Claim all His promises as you cry out, “How long?” today.

And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” Revelation 6:10 (NKJV)

Faithful Fasting Facts

then they will fast in those days.  Luke 5:35 (NKJV)

I haven’t talked about fasting for a while on this website, though it goes hand in hand with prayer. In My Tea Cupp Prayers I wrote about “Just Tea, No Cookies.” And in More Tea Cupp Prayers, I share the “Empty Plate” devotion. But I remember way back when I first started fasting, I had lots of questions and no answers because churches don’t always talk about it. I’m reminded of fasting every year when I read the book of Esther.

There are so many other examples of fasting in the Bible: Moses fasted on the mountain. Elijah fasted in despair. The people of Ezra proclaimed a fast by the River Ahava. Nehemiah was fasting and praying before the God of heaven. Nineveh fasted when they heard Jonah’s prophecy. Jesus fasted in the wilderness. Paul began his ministry with a fast. Cornelius was fasting when God called Peter to him. All the Jews were called to fast yearly on the Day of Atonement. And many others fasted, as well (Exodus 34:28; Leviticus 23:27–28; Numbers 29:7; 1 Kings 19:8; Jonah 3:5–10; Ezra 8:21; Nehemiah 1:4; Matthew 4:2; Acts 9:9, Acts 10:30–31).

…I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven. Nehemiah 1:4 (NKJV)

Today I have a video for you that explains fasting in a clear and concise way, the best I have ever heard.  This fasting video is made by a dear sister of a dear friend. Her name is Terri and she is battling cancer. Please pray for Terri and take notes as she shares her well-researched fasting tips and information. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihJa6Lkwxgg&t=2s]

Today’s TEA CUPP:  Read Isaiah 58.  Please fast and pray today for Terri and all who are suffering a major health crisis. Make fasting a monthly part of your prayer journey.  The Lord will draw near to you as you draw near to Him!

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you… James 4:8 (NKJV)

But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.  Matthew 6:17–18 (NKJV)

When I wept and chastened my soul with fasting,
That became my reproach. Psalm 69:10 (NKJV)

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— Ephesians 6:18 (NKJV)

Dear Israel

He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to the house of Israel;
All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
Psalm 98:3 (NKJV)

Dear Israel,
I am praying for you. You are the tree and I am a branch. We need you to be well, to be safe, to be protected, to have the victory, to be saved, to have peace. And so, almost every day since October 7, 2023, the Lord God has given me a Bible verse to pray for you. I want to share a few of these verses and prayers to encourage you, and to help my other TEA CUPP ladies to keep lifting you in prayer.

From Psalm 83 Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold Your peace, and do not be still, O God! For behold, Your enemies make a tumult . . . let them be confounded and dismayed forever, yes, let them be put to shame and perish that they may know that You, whose name alone is the Lord, are the Most High over all the earth. Let it be so! Yehovah Nissi, continue to go out with Israel’s army and every missile. Be their Shield and Sun. And may all Israel and all their enemies know the Lord is God!

From 1 Kings 8:44-52 When Your people go out to battle against their enemy. . . listen to them whenever they call to You. . . forgive Your people who have sinned against You. . . maintain their cause.

I Kings 4:24-25 For he had dominion over all the region on this side of the River from Tiphsah even to Gaza, namely over all the kings on this side of the River; and he had peace on every side all around him. And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, each man under his vine and his fig tree, from Dan as far as Beersheba, all the days of Solomon. 1 Kings 5:9 My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon to the sea; I will float them in rafts by sea. . . I pray first for our brothers and sisters in Israel. Lord Jesus, Yehovah Nissi, fight for them and do not stop until victory is won. Fight as David did in the name of the Lord God of Israel. And establish the land as it was in the time of Solomon, far-reaching and at peace; even peace with Lebanon from where Hiram gave Solomon wood for the temple. Renew that old friendship between David and Hiram. Send peace and victory to Israel today. Protect our brothers and sisters there. I pray for the peace of Jerusalem, may they prosper who love you. My heart and prayer is for all Israel to be saved, to know You, Yeshua, as their Messiah. Give the leaders of Israel the wisdom of Solomon. Give the army of Israel the skill and heart of David. Give every lady and child angels of protection, and pour out Your Holy Spirit across the land!

I pray the blessing of Ezekiel 36, especially Ezekiel 36:7-10, 36:15 Therefore thus says the Lord God: “I have raised My hand in an oath that surely the nations that are around you shall bear their own shame. But you, O mountains of Israel, you shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to My people Israel, for they are about to come. For indeed I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you shall be tilled and sown.  I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, all of it; and the cities shall be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt. . . “Nor will I let you hear the taunts of the nations anymore, nor bear the reproach of the peoples anymore, nor shall you cause your nation to stumble anymore,” says the Lord God.’ ” Abba Father, I pray this blessing is NOW for Israel! Give them victory today and continue to be their Shield and Salvation! Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Ezekiel 39:29 And I will not hide My face from them anymore; for I shall have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel,’ says the Lord God.” Lord Jesus, have compassion on Israel this day. Do not hid Your face anymore. Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon them all. Let them know You as Messiah and glorify You for being their Shield and Rock in the battle. Continue to bring peace to Jerusalem and save Your children. Bless all the children of Israel and all Your children around the world today.

From Psalm 108:7-13 God has spoken in His holiness:
“I will rejoice; I will divide Shechem
And measure out the Valley of Succoth.
Gilead is Mine; Manasseh is Mine;
Ephraim also is the helmet for My head;
Judah is My lawgiver. Moab is My washpot;
Over Edom I will cast My shoe; Over Philistia I will triumph.” . . . Give us help from trouble,
For the help of man is useless. Through God we will do valiantly,
For it is He who shall tread down our enemies.
. . . Deliver Israel TODAY, O Lord! I claim this Psalm, the Land belongs to Yehovah God. He has declared it! He shall squash the enemy with His shoe. The Lord is sending His angel armies to fight, help and protect. Praise God who helps Israel do valiantly! Praise Jesus for casting down the enemies!

Today’s TEA CUPP: Please join me in continuing to pray for victory and peace in Jerusalem and for all Israel to know the salvation found in Yeshua Messiah, Jesus the Christ, Son of the Most High God.

My favorite Podcast for keeping up on the news of Israel, along with a Messianic Jewish message of encouragement can be found at BouldozerFaith.com with Pastor Kenny Russell. Please keep Pastor Kenny and all the children of Israel in your prayers.

Lord, You have been favorable to Your land;
You have brought back the captivity of Jacob.
Psalm 85:1 (NKJV)

For our shield belongs to the Lord,
And our king to the Holy One of Israel.
Psalm 89:18 (NKJV)

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:17 (NKJV)

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for deflecting missiles and being favorable to Your land!

O Israel, trust in the Lord;
He is their help and their shield.
O house of Aaron, trust in the Lord;
He is their help and their shield.
You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord;
He is their help and their shield.  Psalm 115:9-11 (NKJV)

Wake Up, Jesus!

But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”  Mark 4:38 (NKJV)

I was awake since 1 a.m., up since 3 a.m., reading my Bible, praying all my prayers, yet it was still dark.  I cried out, “I watch for you, Jesus, more than watchmen wait for the morning.  When will You come to answer my prayers? How long until soon?”

Remembering the missionary pastor who visited our church, I cried “Wake-up, Jesus!” Pastor Samuel said we need to wake up Jesus in our churches.  He is sleeping in the stern of the boat.  “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” I cried again (Mark 4:38).

Do You not care my pains are extra sharp this morning?  Do You not care we are still homeless over a year after leaving our moldy home?  Do You not care that we spend all this time in Your Word and prayer and seek You with all our hearts and live for You each day?  Wake up, Jesus!

Don’t you care what is going on in our nation and world?  They are fighting your dear land of Israel!  Evil people are trying to end our elections in America. They are still trying to kill people with vaccines.  “Awake! Why do You sleep, O Lord? Arise! Do not cast us off forever” (Psalm 44:23).

…Awake to help me, and behold!
You therefore, O Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel,
Awake to punish all the nations;
Do not be merciful to any wicked transgressors… Psalm 59:4-5 (NKJV)

Babies are still dying everyday from abortion, families are falling apart, schools are teaching evil subjects.  Innocent people are being trafficked. Churches are going against Your Word.  Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold Your peace, And do not be still, O God!  (Psalm 83:1)

I cry again, “Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, You who lead Joseph like a flock; You who dwell between the cherubim, shine forth!  (Psalm 80:1) Awake, awake, put on strength,
O arm of the LordAwake as in the ancient days,In the generations of old. Are You not the arm that cut Rahab apart, And wounded the serpent?  (Isaiah 51:9)

Then I decree, it will be like in Isaiah 33 and Psalm 78:  Then the Lord awoke as from sleep, Like a mighty man who shouts because of wine  (Psalm 78:65).  “Now I will rise,” says the Lord“Now I will be exalted, Now I will lift Myself up (Isaiah 33:10).

Amen and Amen!  Let it be so!  Come, Lord Jesus, Come!

Today’s TEA CUPP:  Wake up Jesus with your prayers! Read the story of Jesus asleep on the boat in Mark 4:35-41 and Psalm 107:23-32. Claim God’s promise in Psalm 121:4 that He will never sleep again.

Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.  Psalm 121:4 (NKJV)

P.S. Dear one, God who created the sea can calm any storm on it.  And God who created you and me can calm any storm in our lives, too.

Stir up Yourself, and awake to my vindication,
To my cause, my God and my Lord.
Psalm 35:23 (NKJV)

Awake! Why do You sleep, O Lord?
Arise! Do not cast us off forever. Psalm 44:23 (NKJV)

The Lord on high is mightier
Than the noise of many waters,
Than the mighty waves of the sea.  Psalm 93:4 (NKJV)

The sea is His, for He made it;
And His hands formed the dry land.  Psalm 95:5 (NKJV)

Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad;
Let the sea roar, and all its fullness.  Psalm 96:11 (NKJV)

I will both lie down in peace, and sleep;
For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.  Psalm 4:8 (NKJV)

When you lie down, you will not be afraid;
Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet.  Proverbs 3:24 (NKJV)

Calling the Seraphim

When[leaders lead in Israel,
When the people willingly offer themselves,
Bless the Lord Judges 6:2 (NKJV)

The Lord God has been calling His children to anoint the borders of the USA and its states this summer.  Many are doing so while on vacation or as they make special trips for this very purpose. You can read about this amazing work of the Church in Dutch Sheet’s Paint Your State.  I received word of this border anointing just after returning from a trip to see family and wondered how I could still help while at home.  Let me share how Jesus has called me to join the “painting” of the states and perhaps it will inspire you to do the same!

Almost every morning, I take a walk down the country road where we are temporarily living in a camper.  The road goes over Interstate 90 and up into the mountains.  As I walk across the I90 overpass bridge, I see oodles of trucks, cars, campers, boats, motorcycles and so forth, traveling from west to east and from east to west.  And so, in the Name of Yeshua Messiah (Jesus Christ our Lord), I have anointed this overpass bridge!

Then he divided the three hundred men into three companies, and he put a trumpet into every man’s hand, with empty pitchers, and torches inside the pitchers.  Judges 7:16 (NKJV)

I’ve prayed for the Lord’s seraphim angels to station themselves on this bridge with trumpets in one hand and a pitcher in the other like Gideon’s 300 soldiers (Judges 7:16).  As each vehicle passes beneath the bridge, I pray these seraphim will pour their pitchers, anointing these vehicles with the Holy Spirit.  May their pitchers be full of new oil that never runs dry (Psalm 92:10, 1 Kings 17:14-16).  And God’s Spirit will go from Seattle to Boston, from Boston to Seattle, from West to East and from East to West.

But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox;
I have been anointed with fresh oil.  Psalm 92:10 (NKJV)

The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke by Elijah.  1 Kings 17:16 (NKJV)

I’ve asked the Lord to station these seraphim not just on my I90 bridge, but on all the I90 bridges across the country!  And not just on I90, but on ALL interstate bridges across our land!  So now the oil is being poured out from West to East, from East to West, from North to South, and from South to North!!!  Every vehicle will receive the blessing! Yehovah Rapha, our healing God, will heal this land! And Yehovah Shamar, our Shield, will protect this land!  America Shall be saved!  I command the forward our forefathers founded this nation on in the Name of Yeshua Messiah!  Go, Jesus!

So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.  2 Kings 6:16-17 (NKJV)

I’ve also asked Jesus to open my eyes to see these seraphim as he did for Elisha’s servant in 2 Kings 6:16-17, so that I can see those who are with us are more than those who are with the enemy. Though blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed (John 20:29).

Another thing I’ve been doing is praying the scriptures.  Many of you know I follow the M’Cheyne Bible reading plan.  So, with the verses I’ve read these past few weeks, I’ve prayed and written in my prayer journal for the USA….

When you have transgressed the covenant of the Lord your God, which He commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed down to them, then the anger of the Lord will burn against you, and you shall perish quickly from the good land which He has given you.”  Joshua 23:16 (NKJV)

…Yeshua Messiah, forgive this nation. Hear the cries of Your children who live here.  Turn hearts back to You! Pour out Your Holy Spirit. Forgive this land! Station Your angel armies at every border and highway and river!

How long will the land mourn…? Jeremiah 12:14 (NKJV)

...Abba Father, help us to learn carefully the ways of Your people (Jeremiah 12:16) and follow all Your commands and be one nation under God again, a shining light to the world. O My Father, if it is possible (Matthew 26:39) remove this coming shaking and pour out Your Holy Spirit instead! May we repent and be converted that our sins may be blotted out and that times of refreshing may come from the Lord (Acts 3:19).  And that He may send Jesus Christ.  I claim repentance and times of refreshing for America! Come, Holy Spirit, Come!!!

You have seen all that the Lord your God has done to all these nations because of you, for the Lord your God is He who has fought for you.  Joshua 23:3 (NKJV)

Today’s TEA CUPP:  Please join this “painting of the states,” anointing your state or county or city borders in the blessed Name of Jesus!  Share the unique way God has called you to pray for our nation on the Paint the States website.  Read Jeremiah 18:7-11 and keep praying! See the miracles our heavenly Father will do!!!

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  1 Corinthians 15:57 (NKJV)

The Song: Jesus Heal Me Now

Sing to Him a new song… Psalm 33:3 (NKJV)

…Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick. John 11:3

The line of ladies stretched from the altar to the back of the sanctuary and up the middle aisle and never got shorter as more people kept joining it. We had heard from the Bible, stories of Naaman being healed from leprosy, the Israelites looking to Moses’ serpent on a pole, and the bleeding woman of the Gospels. Now from the worship leaders came this song which began woefully as a cry for healing, yet ended in jubilation.  As we learned the tune, we began singing along with the words on the overhead screen.  Many of the lyrics hit home as we had cried them many times while reading God’s Word, wondering, “how long, O Lord, until it’s my turn for healing?”  With each Gospel story of Jesus healing someone, we had prayed that miracle for ourselves and loved ones.  Would this be the day those prayers are answered?  Will our service today tip the scales of heaven and send the Father’s healing mercy raining down upon us?  The ladies stopped at three stations before the altar, first visiting one for repentance and deliverance, then a second for anointing with oil and healing prayers, and finally, the third to partake of the Bread and Cup.  Volunteers and pastors who also had experienced pain and healing in the past were compassionately leading the prayer stations, giving comfort as they themselves had been comforted by Jesus.  And as the healing began, we sang on…

  • Chorus 1:
  • Jesus heal me now,
  • Oh, heal me now,
  • Jesus heal me now,
  • Oh, I pray
  • Jesus heal me now,
  • Oh, heal me now,
  • Oh, heal me now,
  • Oh, heal me now,
  • Oh, heal me now.

  • Look on my affliction
  • And all my pain,
  • Lord, please heal me now
  • Oh, I pray
  • And forgive all
  • My iniquities
  • Lord, please heal me now,
  • Oh, I pray.

  • Chorus 2:
  • Heal me, O Lord,
  • And I shall be healed,
  • Oh, save me, and
  • I shall be saved.
  • Heal me, O Lord,
  • And I shall be healed,
  • Oh, save me, for
  • You are my praise.
  • Is there no balm
  • In Gilead?
  • Is there no
  • doctor to heal?
  • Yes! There is and
  • His name is Jesus
  • Christ, and by His
  • Stripes I am healed!
  • Bless be the Lord
  • Who forgives all
  • Our sins and heals
  • All of our pain.
  • He bore it all
  • In His body
  • On the cross,
  • He bled and died,
  • To heal us now.

  • Lord, behold
  • Your child You love
  • is sick and in pain,
  • Please have mercy,
  • Never forsake.
  • Oh, heal me now,
  • Oh, heal me now,
  • Oh, heal me now.

  • Lord, if You are
  • Willing to heal,
  • Just say the word
  • And cleanse me now.
  • (repeat)

  • Lord, I rejoice
  • I share Your pain,
  • But I’ve had more
  • Than I can bear.
  • Take it away
  • Into the depths
  • Of the sea,
  • Oh, heal me now,
  • Oh, heal me now,
  • O, heal me now.

  • My God, my God,
  • Why hast Thou
  • Forsaken Your
  • Child whom You love?
  • This pain has gone
  • On much too long,
  • Please hear my cries
  • And heal me now.

  • From the ends of
  • The earth I call
  • to You I cry,
  • as I grow faint,
  • Have mercy and heal
  • This body now,
  • Remember it’s
  • Your Temple, Lord.

  • This is my comfort
  • In all my pain,
  • Your word has
  • Given me life.
  • Unless Your Word
  • Had been my delight,
  • I would have perished
  • in my pain.

  • Everyone who
  • Calls on the Lord’s
  • Name, Your Word says
  • Shall be saved.
  • I’m shouting loud,
  • Down on my knees,
  • Jesus, please heal
  • And save me now!

  • I shall not die
  • But live to declare
  • The mighty works
  • Of my Lord (repeat)

  • I reach out and
  • Touch Your robe and
  • Claim Your healing
  • And power now (repeat)

  • I hear your cries
  • And see your tears,
  • Surely I will
  • Heal you now.
  • My child, your faith
  • Has made you well,
  • Go in peace now
  • And serve the Lord.

  • Your light shall shine
  • Like morning sun,
  • Your healing shall
  • Speedily spring forth.
  • Your goodness shall go
  • Before you always.
  • And my glory
  • Will guard your path.

  • I know the plans
  • I have for you,
  • Plans to prosper
  • And not cause pain.
  • Plans to give you
  • A hopeful future,
  • So I forgive
  • And heal you now.

  • He has begun
  • Good works in me,
  • And will complete
  • It on that day (repeat).

  • Now I return
  • to give You thanks
  • and praise my
  • Healing God now.
  • Let it be known
  • In all the earth,
  • That by the Name
  • Of Jesus I’m healed! (repeat)

  • I glorify
  • Your Name, O Lord,
  • Hosanna,
  • HalleluYAH,
  • God be praised! (repeat x3)

Today’s TEA CUPP: Today’s prayer song is for all who suffer from mold toxicity, chronic pain, long covid, vaccine injuries, cancer, autoimmune disease, heart issues, lyme, abuse and all other afflictions.  This song is a prayer for you… sing it in the shower, the car, everywhere you go… let it be Your healing heart-cry.  We will shake heaven and bless Yehovah Rapha, our healing God!

I see a vision of healing services with ladies singing this song over and over as dear hurting souls come forward to the alter, some carried by their friends. The ladies receive the healing for which they have cried, longed-for, and prayed. The Holy Spirit moves and their families come, too. No power of hell nor scheme of man can stop the flood waters of His healing Spirit as it moves across our land. Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord Jesus shall be saved! HOSANNA! HALLELUYAH! GOD BE PRAISED!

Hear my prayer, O Lord,
And give ear to my cry;
Do not be silent at my tears…
Psalm 39:12 (NKJV)

He has put a new song in my mouth—
Praise to our God;
Many will see it and fear,
And will trust in the Lord.
Psalm 40:3 (NKJV)

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 John 2 (NKJV)

4:7 Victory

Matthew 4:7 Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’ ”

O Father, O Jesus, here we have the story of when Satan tried to tempt You in the wilderness after 40 days of fasting (no food, no water). You must have been so hungry and thirsty, even though You are the Living Bread and Living Water.

First, the devil tried to tempt you to turn stones to bread, but You fought back with the Word of God, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” Your Word is all we need for it is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword.

Well, the devil was crafty in his second temptation, using Your Word himself, telling You to throw Yourself down from the pinnacle of the temple so the Father’s angel would guard over You. This verse is one of my favorites to pray for my family, the 911 verse, Psalm 91:11 “He shall give His angels charge over you.” Shame on the devil for mis-using this precious Word of God! And all praise to Jesus for fighting back victoriously with the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, saying, “You shall not tempt the Lord your God.

O Father God, forgive us for ever trying to tempt You, knowingly or unknowingly. Forgive our nation for tempting You to wrath with all its evil. Save us, O Lord our God. Turn hearts to You before the great and awesome day when You return. Pour out your Holy Spirit on this land. Do not let us tempt you any longer. We say as Jesus did on the last temptation, “Away with you, Satan!”

“Away with you, Satan!” Away with you from our lives. Away with you from our health. Away with you from our families. Away with you from our schools. Away with you from our courthouses. Away with you from our government. Away with you from our churches. Away with you from our media. Away with you from our nation! Away with you, Satan, in the Name of Jesus and the blood He shed on the cross! We will not bow down to you!

We will only bow to the King of kings, the Lord of lords, our God and Father, Christ Jesus His Son, who showed us how to resist you with His Word, how to cut your temptations to pieces with His Sword of the Spirit, and how to live victoriously by following His steps. You are finished, Satan! Go to the deep pit where you belong! You are not welcome here. Away with you!

Jesus Christ, Yeshua Messiah, is Lord of heaven and earth. Jesus Christ, Yeshua Messiah, is Lord of the United States of America. Jesus Christ, Yeshua Messiah, is Lord of me and my family wherever we go. HalleluYAH! Amen!

4:7 Aftermath

A prayer for America on the Aftermath of Election Day 2022 with verses from 2 Kings 22, Psalm 142, Joel 1-2 and Hebrews 5 from the M’Cheyne Daily Bible Reading Plan for November 10.

Hebrews 4:7 Again He designates a certain day, saying in David, “Today,” after such a long time, as it has been said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.”

O Father, O Jesus, forgive us for our hard hearts. Soften us to hear and obey Your Holy Spirit, O Lord, TODAY! Forgive me, forgive my family, forgive our nation, forgive Your church. Soften me, soften my family, soften our nation, soften Your Church. For today I am sad that our nation is still lost, still having broken elections, though there were glimmers of hope. I cry out to You with the cries of the Psalmist and claim the promises of Joel.

Today we offer up prayers and supplications with vehement cries and tears to Him who is able to save us. I cry out to the Lord with my voice; with my voice to the Lord, I make my supplication. I pour out my complaint before Him; I declare before Him my trouble. Our spirits are overwhelmed, Lord Jesus. The locusts have even eaten our elections and votes. We prayed and voted for God-fearing leaders across this nation, and we received a few, but not enough!

O Jesus, we thank You for the victories, and yet we rend our hearts and return to You again in prayer to ask, “”How long?” and “Where did we go wrong?” and “What more can we do?” Forgive us for becoming dull of hearing. May we learn obedience through all our suffering. Help us discern good and evil. Spare Your people, O Lord. Do not give Your heritage to reproach, that the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the nations, “Where is their God?”

O Father in heaven, give us leaders like Josiah whose heart was tender and he humbled himself before the Lord, who turned to the Lord with all his heart and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to the Law of Moses. We cry out to You, O Lord, You are our refuge, a very present help in trouble. You are gracious, merciful, slow to anger, of great kindness, and You relent from doing harm. Turn to us, Lord Jesus. Hear our cries. Leave us a blessing! Spare Your people, O Lord. Do not give Your heritage to reproach.

We decree the Lord will be zealous for His land and pity His people. The Lord will answer and say to His people, “Behold, I will send you grain and new wine and oil, and you will be satisfied by them. I will no longer make you a reproach among the nations. Fear not, O land; Be glad and rejoice, for the Lord has done marvelous things! Do not be afraid! I will restore to you the years the locusts have eaten! You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied and praise the name of the Lord your God. I am the Lord your God and there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame. And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” America shall be saved! HalleluYAh! Amen!

America Shall be Saved

A prayer for America on this Election Day 2022 with verses from 2 Kings 19-20, Psalm 139, Hosea 14 and Hebrews 3 from the M’Cheyne Daily Bible Reading Plan for November 8.

O Lord God of Israel, the One who dwells between the cherubim, You are God, You alone of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made the heavens and the earth. Incline Your ear, O Lord, and hear; open Your eyes, O Lord and see and hear the words of our leaders which reproach You, the Living God. We spread all the news before You… the fake news and the truth, for You know the truth.

O Lord, You have searched the USA and know every heart. You know when we sit and do nothing, and when we sit and pray. You know when we rise up against our neighbors, and when we rise up to help them. You know the path this nation has taken, a path of rebellion since its birth. And You know when we lie down and fail to take a stand for what is right. You know every word that has been spoken in truth and in lies, in anger and in love, with our mouths, texts, emails, tweets, posts, grams and all… You know every detail.

You have hedged this great nation from its conception with peaceful neighbors of Canada and Mexico (Lord, save them, too!), yet also with Your mighty angels poised over every state. Your hand is heavy upon us now to do what is right. We cannot flee from You any longer. O Lord, lead this great nation back to YOU! Remember how You formed this “One Nation Under God.” We praise You for we are fearfully and wonderfully made and in Your book all the days of the USA were written, and we are not finished yet!

O Jesus, forgive our sins, we repent, we return, we come back to YOU! Search us, O God, and know our hearts; try us and know our anxieties, see if there be any wicked way in us, and lead us in Your way everlasting! We declare this day that You will wipe our government as one wipes a dish, turning it upside down. You will purge us with hyssop and make us white as snow. The people of the land will “execute” the evil leaders this day by casting them out with votes for good! Oh, that YOU would slay the wicked, O God! Depart from us, you blood thirsty men.

O USA, return to the Lord your God! For You have stumbled because of your iniquity. Take words with you and return to the Lord! Say to Him, “Take away all our iniquity, receive us graciously.” O Father, we claim Your promise to heal our backsliding, You will love the USA freely, You will turn Your anger away from us. All those who dwell under Your shadow shall return to You. They shall be revived like grain and grow like a vine. We declare that the USA shall once again be partakers of the heavenly calling, with hearts turned to the High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus. Just as every house is built by someone, our Heavenly Father will rebuild this nation with His Son over us.

Today, we will hear His voice, we will not harden our hearts as we did in rebellion for the past 246 years! Forgive us for testing and trying You, O Lord, teach us Your ways. Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon America!!! Now therefore, O Lord our God, we pray, save us that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are the Lord God, You alone. May we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of hope to the end! In the precious name of Jesus, Yeshua Messiah and the blood He shed on the cross, and by the power of the Holy Spirit that raised Him from the grave we pray, America Shall be Saved! HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH! HalleluYAH! Amen!

Many thanks of Dutch Sheets and Give Him 15 for the encouragement to pray for the USA so boldly. America Shall be Saved!

4:7 America

Today I continue my 4:7 Prayers, Petitions and Proclamations for America. God bless America!

1 Samuel 4:7 So the Philistines were afraid, for they said, “God has come into the camp!” And they said, “Woe to us! For such a thing has never happened before.

We decree, God shall come into the camps of our enemies and they shall fear You, O LORD!!! Come into the camps in DC and Switzerland and Iran and Russia and Ukraine and Canada and everywhere the enemy lurks. Please, Lord Jesus, put Your fear in the hearts of our enemies and turn them to YOU for salvation. May they know You are the One True God. And I also pray for You to come into the camps of our homes and schools and court houses and state capitals and home schools and prayer meetings and fellowships and churches and nursing homes and hospitals — flood this nation with Your Holy Spirit and send a revival! Come into our camp, Yehovah God!

Ezra 4:7  In the days of Artaxerxes also, Bishlam, Mithredath, Tabel, and the rest of their companions wrote to Artaxerxes king of Persia; and the letter was written in Aramaic script, and translated into the Aramaic language.

People have been writing against the USA and against Israel and against Your children, O LORD. They have stopped the work for Your kingdom here and in China and around the world. But we trust in You, O LORD! We wait upon You, O LORD! You will use even this for good, bringing people from around the world into Your kingdom because of the persecution. Many will cry out to You and everyone who calls upon Yeshua Messiah (Jesus, our Savior) will be saved to the glory of God the Father. Amen! From Psalm 60… Oh, restore us again!…Heal its breaches, for it is shaking…that Your beloved may be delivered, save with Your righthand, and hear me… O Jesus, You are our Lawgiver, enforce Your laws…give us help from trouble, for the help of man is useless. Through God we will do valiantly for it is He who shall tread down our enemies! HalleluYAH!

Nehemiah 4:7 Now it happened, when Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabs, the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites heard that the walls of Jerusalem were being restored and the gaps were beginning to be closed, that they became very angry,

O Jesus, this happened to the USA and now all kinds of people have broken down the walls and stopped the work. O Jesus, save us, protect us, give us strong leaders to rebuild the wall and enforce our boarders, letting only the innocent citizens and immigrants and travelers to cross. For Your children were once strangers in the land of Egypt, we should welcome and care for strangers, too.

Jeremiah 4:7 The lion has come up from his thicket,
And the destroyer of nations is on his way.
He has gone forth from his place
To make your land desolate.
Your cities will be laid waste,

Without inhabitant.

LORD Jesus, NO! Father God, NO! AS Moses pleaded with You for all Israel and You heard and answered, we plead with You for the USA! Hear, forgive, answer, have mercy on us, O LORD! Do not destroy this city on a hill, this One Nation under God! Be our Tabernacle, our Shade, Our Refuge, our Shelter, our Shield, our Strong Tower, and protect us from the enemy. Save us, LORD Jesus! Thank You for the miracles You are about do do!!

Luke 4:7 “Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.”

There he goes again, the devil trying to tempt our Savior Jesus with his lies and false promises, just like he tries to do to us every day. That’s why we must fill ourselves with God’s Word each morning and put on the whole armor of God! The crazy thing was… all the earth already belonged to Jesus for He is God’s Son! It reminds me of the C.S. Lewis story, The Silver Chair, where the true prince has been held captive underground for years while the lady of the green mantle (Satan) trained the prince to conquer and rule his very own country. He was rescued just in tine!

Many of today’s leaders have been fed the same lies… I will l make you a great ruler or politician if you… support killing babies, support gambling, support perverted persons, join the world economic forum, etc. etc. It is all one big lie from the father of lies, Satan! And we say as Jesus did, “Get behind us Satan! For it is written. You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve!” WE will only have leaders who follow God’s Word and Holy Spirit, who pray and see His face, who protect babies and women and children, who teach men to be men of God, who throw out all the perverted persons from the land, who help the poor and needy and addicts, who make no treaties with evil, who believe in “One Nation Under God.” Away with you, Satan, from the United States of America! Psalm 108:5-6, 12-13 Be exalted, O God above the heavens, and Your glory above all the earth; That Your beloved may be delivered save with Your right hand, and hear me…give us help from trouble, for the help of man is useless. Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our enemies. May they know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He chooses… Your kingdom will be assured to you, after you come to know that Heaven rules… be righteous, show mercy to the poor (Daniel 4:26-27).
