Who do you say that I am?

He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Matthew 6:15, Mark 8:29, Luke 9:20 (NKJV)

Perhaps the most important question of all time is found in three of the gospels.  This question has implications for all eternity, as each of us must answer Jesus’ question,  “Who do you say that I am?” Jesus was not just asking His disciples then; He is asking all of us in this world. What we do with Jesus now, will determine what Jesus does with us for all eternity.

Our pastor friend Rich Parker delivered an awesome sermon one Sunday by this very title, “Who do you say that I am?” (January 18, 2004, Big Timber Lutheran Church, Montana).  Pastor Rich opened to us God’s Word and showed us all the people in the Bible who have said who Jesus is, from angels to demons, to people just like you and me.  Their very words we can use to answer this question when we sit down with Jesus for TEA each day.
