My First TEA Party

How sweet are Your Words to my taste,
sweeter than honey to my mouth!
Psalm 119:103 (NIV)

“May we please have a tea party, Grandma!”

I remember my first tea party.  It was around the time of my 5th birthday.  My family had traveled in a VW bus, all the way from our home in Iowa to my grandparents’ home in Hemet, California.  My California cousins came over to visit.  My cousin Kimberly, who was close to my age, was able to visit Grandma more often than I did, of course.  I think it was her idea for the tea party.  Grandma had a little china tea set and a little table for us.  Kimberly, my sister Karen, and I all sat around the table to sip “tea.” The “tea” was sugar water my grandma had mixed especially for us.  How sweet it did taste!

“Thank you, Grandma!  We love you!”

Why of all the sweets of childhood can I still https://www.ncmh.info/xanax-alprazolam-anxiety-panic-disorder/ taste that sugary tea on my tongue?  Was it more than just a special moment in time?

“May I please have more of that sweet tea?”

Yes! There is a a sweet TEA CUPP and a special moment waiting for each of us every day… A TEA date with the Lord, and He has the sweetest TEA of all.  I encourage you to sit down with Jesus today for a TEA CUPP prayer.  You will find His TEA sweet, His Word a treat, and His Love complete.

The fear of the LORD is pure,
enduring forever.
The ordinances of the LORD are sure
and altogether righteous.

They are more precious than gold,
than much pure gold;
they are sweeter than honey,
than honey from the comb.

By them is Your servant warned;
in keeping them there is great reward.
Psalm 19:9-11 (NIV)
