Petitions for Emma

Today I am praying for my young friend Emma who is having lung surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Emma is such a brave trooper, already having endured several surgeries and treatments for cancer. And so I petition my Jesus in heaven with Emma’s name AGAIN.

I cry aloud to the LORD;
I lift up my voice to the LORD for mercy.

I pour out my complaint before Him;
before Him I tell my trouble.
Psalm 142:1-2 (NIV)

O Lord Jesus, hear our prayers for Emma and her mom and grandma and grandpa.  Guide all the doctors and nurses.  Guide their minds and hands.  Heal Emma completely.  Take away her pain. Comfort her family and give them all Your peace.

I claim your promises for Emma…

“Peace, peace to those far and near, I will heal (Emma),” says the Lord. Isaish 57:19 (NIV)

Say the word, and my (Emma) will be healed. Luke 7:7 (NIV)

Let (Emma) live that (she) may praise You. Psalm 119:175 (NIV)

In Jesus’ Name I pray, over and over again, Amen.

  1. I’ve been praying for Emma and her family, too.
    I like this verse, which my school choir used to sing as a benediction. I think of Emma and her family when I say it.
    Numbers 6:24-26
    “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace”.
