C is for call

The C in My TEA CUPP Prayers is for Call

Over the past 3 weeks we’ve been exploring the first 3 components of My Tea Cupp Prayers: Thanks, Exalt, and Admit. This coming week we will be exploring ‘C’ for God’s Call for my life. Are you at a crossroads? Searching for direction? Unsure about a decision? How can you know what to do? I think if we dig into God’s Word and pray, He will show us what He is calling us to do.  At first it might be hard to discern, but eventually God makes His way clear to us.

What is God calling me to do today?  This is my question as I read His Word each morning.  His call may be as simple as “come” or “go.”  Or it may be buried within a verse like to “scatter seed” or “bear good fruit.”  His call to me that pushed me to create  My Tea Cupp Prayers website was Deuteronomy 5:32 (NIV), “So be careful to do what the Lord your God has commanded you; do not turn aside to the right or to the left.”

For years I’ve wanted to share My Tea Cupp Prayers with others, but didn’t know how to do it.  I kept myself busy with so many other “good” activities like teaching Sunday school and helping with my husband’s camping ministry.  But those “good” things were keeping me from doing the one thing God wanted me to do.   So, finally I am obeying His call and sharing My Tea Cupp Prayers with you.

What is God calling you to do?  Dig into His Word today and ask Him to show you.  Underline verses you find and pray them; use them as a conversation starter with Jesus.

Have a blessed Monday.
